On Saturday, Bella came to play for the first time. This is Bella.
And this is me, Brinkley. I'm a lot bigger at almost 8 months old, but I'm still just as much puppy as Bella.
Bella lives a couple of houses down and across the street. She came over for a little while so her person could finish planting things without Bella's help. Hmmmmm, can't imagine why she wouldn't want Bella to help. I help my person all the time, pruning maple trees and trying to get her to see the error of her ways when it comes to her drip system.
Bella and I had several good games of chase.
And a lot of good conversations.
When we got tired, we hung out in the courtyard by the swing.
We even smiled for the camera.
Bella thought she was a lot tougher than me.
But I showed her.
I can't wait for Bella to come over again. Maybe Gretchen and Shroeder can come, too!

Introduction
Hi, I'm Brinkley; I'm a 7-month-old golden retriever. I have 2 dachshund friends, Shroeder and Gretchen. On a walk one day, a teenage girl asked what my name was but then had a big problem trying to repeat it. It's really not that hard: think Christie Brinkley, and then just remember that I'm a boy dog but even more gorgeous. On my next time around the block, the same girl asked about the little black dogs who my owner also helps to take for walks. And so, Blinky & the Little Black Dogs came to be. We have a lot of family and friends, and you'll meet them all here in the coming weeks and months, provided we can get Shroeder away from the book he's writing, Gretchen away from the vodka and Javier, and me away from that oh-so-delicious drip-line system (and the even more delicious "almond roca" the cats keep leaving around)!
